Belvoir offers exciting training in art, acting, music theater, dance, music and individual sports. Girls grades three through eleven develop skills, creativity and self confidence. Each girl selects her own program and is then placed in small classes organized by age and skill level. Campers enjoy five classes a day on an alternating day schedule. Belvoir encourages younger and first time campers to elect a diverse schedule of ten different activities, but all campers can choose to develop a program focused on art, dance, music, acting and theater or sports such as tennis, swimming or horseback riding. Skill is an not a pre-requisite , but an outgrowth of the program. All classes are taught by specialist staff so campers learn while having fun.
Accommodations at Belvoir are exceptional. The younger girls live in the large, gracious bedrooms of the main house with adjoining tile bathrooms. Two live in counselors supervise and support the elementary age house campers. Girls who have completed grades six through ten live in age specific dorms subdivided into modern dorm rooms. Their counselors have adjoining private rooms. Every bunk has either a modern adjoining bathroom or a dormitory style bathroom with multiple toilets, sinks and showers. All campers enjoy the living rooms, dining rooms and porches of the main house which are ideal for spending time with friends. Excellent food served family style is complimented by six salad bars.
With individually structured programs, quality professional staff, supportive community values, a select motivated campership, and complete facilities for art, dance, music, theater, tennis and swimming, each camper has a happy, exciting and fun summer. A summer at Belvoir is life-changing.
